Revenge of the Fallen Sapphire

My first Movie-verse Transformer design. I created this character for a Revenge of the Fallen/Pokemon fan-fic I'm trying to write. This young bot is Sapphire, and she is the daughter of Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots.

As you can see, Sapphire is very young. She is only 625,000 years old, which about equals the human age of 10. Still, she's very dangerous, and, like her father, is a very capable warrior. Many Decepticons have fought her only to find themselves with an arrow sticking out of their chest or their legs cut off at the knee joints.

However, Sapphire is still just a little girl. She is a bit unsure about her abilities, and she sometimes isn't prepared for the consequences of her actions.

Optimus really loves her and tries to keep her safe, which is why he didn't bring her along with him in the first film. The two of them are reunited at the beginning of ROTF, and Sapphire joins the rest of the crew on a mission that could unlock a thousands of year old mystery (if your wondering about what that is, go see the new movie!).

Sapphire is mostly a quiet young girl, but when she's angry or scared she can enter a "Hyper Rage" state that gives her enough strength to shatter the hardest rocks. After she comes out of her rage she almost always falls asleep.

She loves drawing, singing, flying around and playing with her friends. What Sapphire hates the most is Decepticons.

Sapphire is a great leader. She is firm yet fair with the troops under her command, and, because Optimus is sometimes not available, she has taken temporary control of the Autobots many times. She also thinks that the Autobot twins, Skids and Mudflap, don't take their job seriously enough, so she tries to keep them in line despite the fact that the two are older them her.

Sapphire perfers to use her bow to hit her opponent from an unseen place up in the air, then swoop down and slice them to bits with her sword while their offguard. A quick Decepticon could grap her out of the air, but then they would have to deal with her sharp teeth and spiky knee guards. Plus Optimus would probaly tackle them to save her.

I decide to make Sapphire a flying robot, but with a twist. Instead of transforming into a flying alt mode, she turns into a 2009 Chevy Corvette convertible, with her wings forming the top of the car. I was going to make her a Dodge Viper but they only use GM cars in the movies, so I cheated and went with the same alt mode as Sideswipe. of course, Sideswipe is the Stingray concept and Sapphire is just a normal Corvette.

As for her robot mode, Sapphire was sort of based off of a human-like-dragon. The two curved downward pointing projections on her helmet look like teeth, and the way the panels on her body are arranged reminded me of dragon scales. She also has elements of her father in her, mostly her helmet and lower legs. As for that dress, it was kinda influlenced by Sari Sumdac from Transformers Animated, but I just took the basic design and made it more fancier.
